These terms govern your use of Shield Defenders services and your relationship with our attorney network.

By using Shield Defenders services, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Membership Terms
  • Membership is month-to-month with no long-term contracts required
  • Members can cancel at any time with 30 days notice
  • Membership benefits begin immediately upon enrollment and payment
  • Family plans cover spouse/partner and dependents under 24 years old
  • Business plans cover one business entity per membership
  • Membership fees are non-refundable except during the 30-day guarantee period
Legal Services
  • Shield Defenders provides access to independent attorneys, not direct legal representation
  • Attorney-client relationships are formed directly between members and network attorneys
  • We do not guarantee specific legal outcomes or results
  • Emergency services are available 24/7 for urgent legal matters
  • Consultation limits and attorney communications are defined by membership tier
  • Additional legal work beyond membership benefits is available at discounted rates
Attorney Network
  • All network attorneys are licensed and in good standing with their respective bar associations
  • Attorneys are independent contractors, not employees of Shield Defenders
  • We conduct background checks and verify credentials of all network attorneys
  • Attorney availability may vary by location and practice area
  • Members may request different attorneys if not satisfied with initial assignment
  • Attorney-client privilege applies to all communications with network attorneys
Payment Terms
  • Membership fees are charged monthly in advance
  • Payment methods include credit cards, debit cards, and ACH transfers
  • Failed payments may result in suspension of membership benefits
  • Price changes require 30 days advance notice to members
  • Refunds are available within 30 days of initial enrollment
  • Disputed charges should be reported within 60 days of billing
Member Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and complete information during enrollment
  • Notify us promptly of changes to contact information or legal needs
  • Use services in good faith and for legitimate legal purposes only
  • Respect attorney time and follow appointment scheduling procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of attorney communications and advice
  • Report any concerns about attorney services promptly to Shield Defenders
Limitations & Disclaimers
  • Shield Defenders is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice directly
  • We cannot guarantee attorney availability for all requests
  • Some legal matters may require specialized attorneys not in our network
  • Emergency response times may vary based on location and circumstances
  • We are not liable for attorney malpractice or professional negligence
  • Members should verify attorney credentials and qualifications independently
Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Shield Defenders services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You may opt out of arbitration by sending written notice within 30 days of enrollment to: legal@shielddefenders.com

Changes to Terms

Shield Defenders reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email at least 30 days before taking effect.

Continued use of our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
